Expedition by plane ( 7-10-15 days )
Adventure Program:
DAY 1 : You will travel many hours upstream on the mighty SOLIMÕES and AMAZON RIVER, as far as the fantastic CARAIPÉ LAKE, where one of the most exciting and fascinating programs will be organized. Allowing you a different feeling of WILDLIFE and BIO-DIVERSITY.
CARAIPÉ LAKE is located many Kms away from the city of Manaus, at the right side of the huge Amazon river. There, you’ll participate of an incredible and different jungle program, where you will participate in a true canoe ride adventure, crossing the incredible flooded wood lands into the exotic water trails of the forest, seeing many birds, monkeys, huge water lilies, wonderful scenery and unbelievable GIANTS TREES, discovered during our exploration program far away from tourists routes.
By afternoon, you will catch also the voracious piranha, admiring the Amazon sunset, seeing plenty of birds flying over the jungle by the end of noon.
Our next program after dinner, it will be a nice canoe ride by night to see and catch alligators hidden in the floating grass.
Certainly, the nocturnal sounds of frogs, birds and insects is an experience not to be forgotten. Then, sleeping on board.
DAY 2 : After breakfast, the boat will start a long journey, roughly 12 hours, advancing upstream on the Rio Negro, crossing deep throughout the amazing and exotic ANAVILHANAS ARQUIPELAGO, traveling many hours away from civilization. This fantastic trip will take us distant upstream on the Rio Negro, as far as, to the wild APUAU RIVER, where night will be spent on its mouth.
DAY 3 : An early breakfast will be served, it’s time to leave definitely the Rio Negro and advance upstream on the APUAU RIVER, (tributary of Rio Negro). After three hours travelling upstream, the river becomes narrow and narrow, then, you’ll arrive to TERRA DO JAGUAR, (a very wild region, too far away from civilization). Then, you’ll experience a very exciting walk in primary jungle). So, we will return back to the boat for having lunch. Afterwards, we start moving futher on the Apuau river, the more we advance, the more the River becomes narrow; that’s a very wild region, where nobody leaves. Primary jungle is everywhere in this
region. So, our boat advance continuously on this endless river, surrounded by a wonderful and exotic jungle, where you can admire the wild landscape. Next, we’ll arrive to a narrow-wild channel, where you’ll go in paddle canoes throughout the forest, in order to see the wonder of PRIMARY JUNGLE. There, you’ll take part in adventurous canoe ride toward the wild water trails in order to sleep in the jungle and visit remote FALLS in the heart of the Rain forest. Where we can spend the night sleeping in hammocks close by the falls or sleeping on board, returning back to the boat late in the evening, paddling slowly in order to hear the magic noises of the forest and trying to see wildlife during the incredible Amazon night.
DAY 4 : Next day, in the morning, canoes await us, it’s time to go to a wild channel, called TUCAN, there you’ll experience a very adventurous program; which, it will be a fantastic jungle-trek into the heart of the Amazon Rain Forest. You’ll walk through wild territory, unexplored areas, where you can see the real rain forest. Surely, you’ll never forget this experience.
During the trek, you will see: giant trees, medicinal herbs, different types of vines, (water vine, different medicinal herbs), jungle beer, several bromelias, philodenus, orchids, exotic flowers, colorful butterflies, birds, animals etc. you’ll have a lots of informations and will know about jungle curiosities. You’ll see yet, an incredible animals imitation, where we’ll call them by imitation. At the end of this program, we will be returning back to the boat, where you’ll have time for a refreshing dip, so lunch will be served. Next, the boat will take us, to one of the most beautiful and wild channels of the Apuau river, called UARIBA, where you’ll travel for few hours into this tributary, advancing upstream and appreciating the dense forest all around. Afterwards, the boat stops, it’s time to take our canoes and advance upstream on the narrow-channel, so, the water trails is like an endless corridor cutting the jungle even more. Too late in the evening, it’s time to experience a different jungle program ; well, now, we will stop canoes, everybody must be quiet, suddenly, we will start hearing incredible noises of the forest, which in fact, form a true Amazon symphony. In this wild region, you’ll hear strange and interesting jungle noises. such as: exotic frogs, grasshoppers, crickets, birds, monkeys, and other species of animals. Next, canoes start moving back slowly to the boat, helped by the water currents. Night is extremely dark, the moon is still behind the dense forest, so, flashlights will be used, animals hidden themselves among the trees, alligators can be seen also amidst the floating vegetation, from time to time, exotic red monkeys scream too aloud into the jungle echoing in the whole forest, red luminous eyes of alligators reflect a strong shine to the flashlights. The charming moon starts coming up above the trees, other species of birds start making noise, different animals can be heard. Monkeys scream aloud into the forest. Nocturnal wildlife start coming up, moonlight on the water announces the arrival of the Amazon night, strange jungle noises surround us wherever we go. The dark of night is mixed with the romantic moon rays reflecting on the dense vegetation. Peace is everywhere, Amazon jungle announces the existence of our creator. Then, After this experience, we will get back to the boat, dinner will be served. Sleep on board.
DAY 5: At 6 o’clock, breakfast will be ready, arrangements for a long canoe-ride will be organized, this time, the whole day will be spent into the forest, so, we will be returning back to the boat just late in the afternoon. The program will be complete: exotic jungle-trek, fishing, visitation to wild waterfalls in the heart of the forest, jungle demonstrations, birds and animals imitations, swim, etc. Lunch will be prepared close of the falls. Barbecue and typical fishes will be roasted. After lunch, another program will be done, this time it will be an interesting canoe- ride in the narrow-water way in the jungle, visitation to flooded areas, etc. Next, we’ll move back to the boat, arriving there just at the end of noon, as programed. Now the boat await us at a wonderful white sandy beach in the jungle, where you can have, an unforgatable swim. During the night, we’ll organize an exciting party at a wild beach. Dinner will be served in the middle of the forest on the white sand beach, barbecues and typical fishes will be prepared . You’ll stay around the fire eating, drinking, singing and hearing incredible stories and curiosities of the Amazon Rain Forest. The night can be spent at the beach or in the boat if you prefer to.
DAY 6 : Before breakfast, you’ll have time to see the beautiful sunrise coming up above the jungle, next, breakfast will be served, then, we will start our cruise back to Manaus, traveling downstream on the Rio Negro, crossing at this time, the another side of the incredible Anavilhanas Arquipelagus, where you’ll have a nice opportunity to know a small Amazon town called NOVO AIRÃO, famous by its boat construction, handcrafts, PINK DOLPHINS and an interesting SNAKE ZOO. In town, you’ll see the typical church, school, small market, local people, etc. You can have also a very interesting walk around the village. Thus, we will be returning back to the boat, lunch will be served in the middle of the Arquipelagus among the islands. Later, you’ll experience a wonderful canoe-ride throughout the magnificent islands group. In the late afternoon, you’ll participate of a thrilling and nice canoe-trip to see the amazing sunset into the Anavilhanas Arquipelagus. After dinner, you can take part of an interesting canoe-ride into the flooded islands in searching of nocturnal creatures. The sounds of different species of frogs, birds and insects is really amazing. So, we’ll be returning back to the boat. Night will be spent on board.
DAY 7 : After breakfast, visitation to Indians settlements along the river, nice walk throughout the place, canoe-ride to visit curious jungle communities. Next, continue the trip downstream the river. After leaving the Archipelagus, the boat will stop at a fascinating white sandy beach, where lunch will be prepared, there will be time for a swim in the river. After lunch, the boat will proceed definitely to Manaus. End of the tour. Transfer to the hotel or airport.
* Note.: If the tour last more than 7 days, we will stay longer in the jungle and spending more time in the area of the Amazon region.
